If the dealer has a natural 21 (blackjack) with his two cards, he won\u2019t take any more cards. First, the player must declare if he wants to take advantage of the side rules (explained below). If a player and the dealer each have a blackjack, the result is a push for that player. To play blackjack you need chips to bet with (or some other form of tokens that you can assign value to).<\/p>\n

The use of external devices to assist in card counting is illegal in Nevada. Unbalanced counts are often started at a value that depends on the number of decks used in the game. When a card is exposed, a counter adds the score of that card to a running total, the ‘count’. A card counting system assigns a point score to each card rank (e.g., 1 point for 2\u20136, 0 points for 7\u20139, and \u22121 point for 10\u2013A). Players can sometimes improve on this decision by considering the composition of their hand, not just the point total.<\/p>\n
